The Gates Mills Improvement Society plans for and promotes many aspects of Village life. From Christmas bonfires to Fourth of July to fun concerts, we celebrate every season in our lovely Village. If you would like to volunteer for the many activities, we welcome your help! It's a great way to meet people and be of service to our great community. Be sure to view our Organizations page to see if a group's activities appeal to you.

For over 50 years, the GMIS raises funds from fellow villagers as a way of thanking our Village employees for the great work they do for us throughout the year! Our hard-working employees provide services and make our Village run smoothly and look beautiful. In 2024,we had more than 350 generous residents contribute a record-breaking $76,000 to the fund which is equitably distributed to 42 employees of our administrative, police, fire and service departments.
